Two decades ago when mines and marble processing units first come into existence around Udaipur. The abrasives for polishing marble were imported. Until the Chairman cum Managing Director of Technique Diabrasives India Ltd. Decided to make the abrasives in India. Form Italy, he acquired the latest technology, improved it and thus was born the first abrasive manufacturing company in India. Soon the Indian abrasives rivaled their Foreign counterparts. As a result technique now also exports abrasives on a large scale.

Almost all stones are polished to required gloss before or after fixing. Abrasives are the main constituents to achieve this.
